| Alesis Air Synth
Quite frankly, this is a bonkers infra-red
controlled synth similar to a Theremin. Here's what Alesis had to say about it:
"move your hand, or any other body part through the invisible 3D sphere formed
by our patent pending Axyz technology. You can move in any direction; up or
down, right or left, or in or out, to twist any sound in an infinite number of
ways. The slightest movement of your hand tweaks the tones of our ultra-modern
DSP system and turns your tunes inside out!"
I'm sorry but "any other body part"? What were they
doing in the Alesis R&D Department when they thought this thing
up?
Primarily used for bleeps, squeeks and otherworldly
sounds. You do look a bit of a loony waving your hands about though.
